In plain English: this website earns money through affiliate links, and we want you to know exactly how, because trust is the only thing a review site really has.
The short version
Mettle Health Review is reader-supported. Some of the links on our reviews, including the "Check Today's Price" buttons on our Spartamax review, point to the manufacturer's official website. If you click one of those links and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. You never pay more because of it; the price is exactly the same as if you had gone to the site directly.
Why we use affiliate links
Testing supplements honestly costs money. We buy the products we review at full price, we do not take paid placements, and the time spent testing and writing is not free. Affiliate commissions are what let us keep buying products ourselves rather than relying on free samples from brands, which would compromise our independence. It is the most reader-friendly way we have found to fund the work.
How commissions affect our reviews (they do not)
This is the part that matters most. Our editorial scoring is completely separate from our funding. We decide on a product's rating, its pros and its cons before any links are added. Earning a commission on a product never earns it a better score, a higher ranking, or softer language. If a product is mediocre, we say so, and our cons sections and critical user reviews are there in black and white. We would rather lose a sale than mislead a reader.
FTC compliance
We follow the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). That means our relationship with the brands we link to is disclosed clearly and close to the links themselves, not buried where no one will read it. You will see a short disclosure at the top of every review page and next to our calls to action, in addition to this page.
Our independence
Mettle Health Review is an independent publication operated by Mettle Media Group LLC. We are not the maker of Spartamax, we are not paid by the maker to write favorably, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the manufacturer. We review the product as an outside third party. Brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification and review purposes only.
